Developing Your Style

Try to put your trust in the process. Developing your brush lettering style will take time. I like this example of my style when I first started lettering vs the same quote that I lettered once I felt more relaxed and comfortable with the brush and the style I wanted to create. As you can see, initially my letters were more elongated. I can almost ‘feel’ the tension in the first piece. The second, more recent version feels warmer to me and I can see that I’m more lost in the process. But that’s just me. What style would you like to create?
