Make A Mess

When we’re children we have no problems with making a complete mess with paints and glitter. Brush lettering is a great way to get back in touch with that feeling. I painted brushstrokes of colour onto a piece of watercolour paper and then cut it into random smaller pieces which gave me little patterned pieces to letter on. I added little dots and dashes with gold pen and a black fineliner and then lettered on a phrase, “There’s beauty in the mess.” You could send these little pieces of art to friends and family or just keep a little collection for yourself as inspiration.
